MAY 19th / 2020
We are happy to announce that as of today, May 19th, we have begun our phased reopening by allowing visitors into our main lobby area. This means you can now drop off/ pick up documents at our reception desk and use the debit terminal for bill payments.
We are not taking in-person appointments at this time but we hope things will continue to improve to allow us to fully reopen soon.
In order to protect the health and safety of staff and customers we ask that you do not visit our office if you have a fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose or shortness of breath, or if you have been in close contact of a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.
We ask that only 1 member of each family come inside the lobby at a time and maintain social distancing from others around you.
In addition, we have taken extra steps to ensure everyone’s safety including:
*Increased cleaning and disinfecting
*Signage for social distancing
*Check-in for contact tracing purposes
*Sneeze guard installed at the front desk
*Hand sanitizer station
MARCH 23rd / 2020
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic we have made some changes to our operations that may affect you. In order to reduce the risk of exposure to both our customers and staff we will be temporarily closing our office to the general public starting Tuesday, March 24, 2020.
Our staff will be working in the office and from home during this period and we will be fully accessible by phone and e-mail. We may also be reached through our general e-mail box firstname.lastname@example.org, our Facebook page, and through the chat on our website www.aswlethbridge.ca.
If you need to send us documents for your business or personal taxes you have the following options: E-mail, Fax, Mail, or Drop Off (see drop off procedures below).
Drop Off Procedures:
The front lobby area will be open for drop offs during regular office hours. There will be a table just inside the door to place your documents. Please ensure your name, address, and phone number are on your package (pens and note pads will be provided). Once you leave, please press the doorbell located on the table so we can retrieve your documents. This area will be sanitized between visitors. After hours, documents may be dropped off through the small slot in the door.
The tax deadline for personal taxes has been extended to June 1, 2020. As of now, the filing deadlines for business have NOT been officially extended, however, it is expected this was an oversight and that we will hear more on it this week.
The payment deadline for personal and business taxes has been extended to September 1, 2020.
